Mormons

This series was shot at 144 West 14th St in Manhattan, New York, headquarter of three Mormon congregations including the Union Square Second Branch that offers church services in American Sign Language.

Mormonism, officially known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS), was founded in early nineteenth century by Joseph Smith and, according to the American writer Harold Bloom "the Mormons, like the Jews before them, are a religion that became a people".

At the Union Square Second Branch, services and doctrinal lessons are in American Sign Language. The other two congregations in the building are the Union Square First Ward, serving young couples and families in the neighborhood, including a teen center; and the Union Square Third Ward, serving young singles.

This series was shot in 2012.
