Learning Grace
Founded in 1987 in order to preserve and share the rich historical traditions of Russian dance in the United States, the Brighton Ballet Theater (BBT) is the premier Russian ballet and folk dance group in New York.
Company dancers are all former soloists from the best dance theaters of the former Soviet Union including St. Petersburg Kirov Ballet, Moscow Classical Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet Theater, Ukrainian State Theater of Classical Ballet and Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater.
The BBT is located in the T7 building at Kingsborough Community College in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, and the classes are taught mostly in Russian. A piece of old Europe on the shore of the ocean.
